Wet In The South Later

Thursday
Into Thursday and it is low pressure situated to the north of the British Isles that will dominate the weather bringing a day of sunshine and blustery, April showers. The showers heaviest and most frequent in the north and west where a risk of thunder is likely, showers fewest in the far south and south-east. All areas cool if not rather chilly in the blustery west or north-westerly wind. Highs 7C to 13C.


Thursday Night
Showery conditions during Thursday evening will slowly ease and some drier and clearer conditions will develop, especially in the north where it will be chilly with a slight frost possible. Later in the night thicker cloud may well herald the arrival of some longer spells of rain in to far southern and south-western counties of England. Lows 1C to 6C.
 


Friday
Into Friday and, at the moment, most of England and Wales look set to become unsettled and rather wet with outbreaks of rain or showers at times, especially so across more central and southern areas. The far north of England, Scotland and Ireland will be drier and brighter but scattered, slow moving and locally heavy showers will develop as the day progresses. Still cool, especially beneath the wet weather, highs 8C to 12C at best.


Saturday
Unsettled conditions are forecast to continue into Saturday with weather fronts nearby to southern areas of England then some rain or showers are possible here, at times, throughout the day. Elsewhere there will be some drier and brighter, if not sunnier conditions but scattered heavy showers are forecast to develop across inland areas of N England, Scotland and Ireland as the day progresses. Rather cool, highs just 9C to 14C.
